The Bet Calculator app for quick betting profit and return calculations.

The Bet Calculator app is a free and easy-to-use tool for quick sports and esports betting profit and return calculations (with optional modifiers). It also works great for odds conversion between different odds formats. You can even add it to your home screen on mobile (and desktop) devices to have quick access to our free customisable calculator.

How to Use the Bet Calculator App

The default setup of the calculator is a single bet with fractional odds type, and no modifiers applied. You can choose different bet types from the first dropdown and change the odds type to decimal or American (moneyline) if you prefer that in the second dropdown. The odds are updated right away when you switch to a different odds type, so you can even use our calculator to convert from different odds formats in real-time. To apply additional conditions, you can check or uncheck the checkboxes for "Each Way" bets. You can also apply "Rule 4" and "Dead Heat" modifiers too if you wish to add these to the calculations. The calculator tool will calculate bets with every condition or numeric change, so if you type in the amount you would like to stake, you will get an updated result instantly. Depending on the other settings you change in the calculator app, you will see different profit and return results updated in real-time. We also update the different odds types in real-time in the background, so you can quickly check that out too, no need for further conversion. All of the fields are editable; you can change the outcome, the odds, and the additional variables that you can apply. The presets will come in handy, but if you would like to create your own accumulator calculations, you can simply add or remove in the list with the "Add Row" button and remove one line with the "✕" at the end of each line. You can quickly reset the tool with the reset button, found on the right, just below the list. Even if you reset the calculator, it will still keep your preferred theme and odds type.

The Odds Calculator

Our bet calculator app handles odds conversion in real-time. It is not obviously visible right away, since only one odds type is shown at once in the table. That type depends on what was selected from the corresponding dropdown (the second dropdown above the table). For ease of use and understanding, we are sharing a simple odds converter that uses the same logic as what we have built in the calculator:

/

You can type in any of the fields to get the converted value in the other two formats in real-time. Each odds type has its own benefits, the easiest to understand and calculate with are definitely the decimal odds. For a single bet with no modifiers applied, the calculation is as simple as a multiplication. Your stake multiplied by the decimal odds number equals your return. It's that simple. The fractional odds aren't too hard to understand either, once you get the idea behind it. The two numbers represent the win amount's ratio to the stake amount. Let's take a simple example: an odds of 10/1 will profit you ten times the money you have staked. So a 10 bet with 10/1 odds will give you 110 (your profit and your stake combined). American odds (also called moneyline) are a little bit more complex to calculate with, but not too hard to understand its core logic. There are positive and negative American odds; the positive represent the return if you stake 100 on the bet. The negative represent the amount to stake in order to make 100 profit.

Bet Calculator App Extra Features and Customisation

We have implemented a couple of features for the bet calculator app that will make your life easier. When you revisit the app later, you will find it already set up with your preferred odds type, the theme you have selected, as well as the option to hide the information that you are currently reading. This way, you can make the bet calculator app feel more like an actual app, rather than a website. The bet calculator app also has a few color themes that you can choose from for different occasions. The darker colors are perfect for low light conditions at night, while the brighter colors fit well for a sunny day out, at eg. the race track. You can also select a sportsbook right after a bet calculation from the quick-select row with the top offers available from trustworthy sportsbook operators. If a bookmaker site requires a bonus code for their welcome offer to work, you will also see a bonus code box, which will copy the code to your clipboard after you click or tap on it.

The Bet Calculator App for Each-Way Bets

The calculator's several quick-select options include each-way, which can be applied to any type. Each-way is calculated with a double stake, since it consists of a bet on the winning and on the placed outcome of the same event. If the outcome is a "win", the bettor takes both the win and the placed parts. If the outcome is "placed" the bettor will take the placed part. The biggest difference compared to regular bets is that if you play an each-way, even if it is not a win, you can still win some money on it. Each-way bets are calculated the following way: a 10 stake each-way with 2.0 odds will give you 20 for the win part. Depending on how many places the placed part includes (between 1/2 and 1/5), it will pay that fraction of the win part. So a single winning each-way bet of 10 could win you up to 35 with a 1/2 each-way modifier. The same bet will return 15 if the outcome of the event is "placed".

The Bet Calculator App for Bets with Rule 4 Modifier

Rule 4 is a horse racing modifier that is applied when a horse is withdrawn from a race after bets have already been placed. It is designed to give a fair payout to bettors with the adjusted odds caused by the withdrawn horse. The rule 4 modifier is calculated the following way: the modifier is a percentage reduction from the winning, and the percentage reduction is dependent on the withdrawn horse's likelihood of winning the race. So a horse withdrawn with a 50% chance of winning will reduce the profit of your winning bet by 5, resulting in a return of 15 instead of 20.

The Bet Calculator App for Dead Heat Bet Situations

A dead heat is a rare event where the winning position in a competition is shared among multiple contestants. Thanks to advancements in technology, such occurrences are becoming less common at most sporting events. However, certain point-based sports (like golf) still result in a dead heat situation from time to time. Dead heat is calculated on winning bets by dividing the return to equal parts between the shared winners of the event. So a 10 stake bet with 2.0 odds will give a return of 6.67 — one-third of the original 20 — if a three way dead heat situation happens in the event.

Accumulator Bet Calculation

Accumulator (or acca) are highly popular for a reason - you don't have to stake a lot of money for a potential big return. Therefore, our type presets focus mostly on the different accumulator bets. The characteristic of this type is that it consists of multiple bets that act as a single; you only have to stake a small amount, and the return gets bigger and bigger as you win each bet in the accumulator. The downside of it is that even one losing bet will make the accumulator a lost bet. Accumulator bets are calculated the following way: 10 stake with 2.0 odds (let's assume each bet in the accumulator has the same odds) will give you a return only if all of the bets win (except if it is each-way, then you will win some money on the placed outcome too). After each bet is won, the next will be played with the winnings from the previous bet. So with a stake of 10 you will win the following (theoretically, since you have to win them all): first bet: 20, second: 40, third: 80, fourth: 160, fifth: 320, sixth: 640, seventh: 1280, eighth: 2560. So for a 10 stake, you can even win thousands if you play it right and luck is on your side.

Our Bet Calculator App Presets

The most frequently calculated are single and different accumulators. We have added these to the type dropdown that you can find on the top left. When you add a row, we will switch the type to accumulator. The result will reflect that bet type to avoid confusion when calculating multiple bets. The different types found in the dropdown are the most frequently played ones that can make you big money with a small stake.
